Erika Tynes-Winston
Erika Tynes-Winston has spent more than 20 years helping individuals and organizations successfully communicate their ideas, platforms, and narratives. She began her writing career as a newspaper journalist reporting on issues related to politics, social and racial justice in and around the state of Virginia. After a detour into the practice of law, she returned to her love of writing and established herself as a respected ghostwriter, writing partner, and developmental editor.
With a client list that comprises legal and medical professionals, entrepreneurs, inspirational speakers and C-Suite leaders, Erika’s content messaging and ghostwriting portfolio includes personal memoirs, business books, workbooks and successful book proposals. She has contributed to three traditionally published books, as well as numerous self-published projects.
Erika holds a master's degree in Public Policy, along with a Law degree. In addition to operating her writing business, she teaches political science at a local college. Her education and professional background make her particularly well-suited for books that include subject matter on political, legal, entrepreneurial, and social justice issues. Erika's experience also includes helping everyday people tell their extraordinary stories through personal memoirs and transforming uninspiring business books into compelling business memoirs.
Erika understands the emotion and vulnerability that goes into writing. She honors that sacrifice by listening to her clients and ensuring that their voices shine through in the finished product. As a Black female ghostwriter who has spent her career working with a variety of diverse writers, Erika brings an elevated level of cultural intelligence to the writing and editing processes. She takes pride in providing every client with a personalized and rewarding writing experience.
